Here are my proposed event rules. I didn't do any work on the on road class rules since we have time for that later.

I also propose we vote on to ratify them on the first track work day. If you are there, you get to vote. No voting by proxy.

IFTRC Event Rules

General Rules:
1. No alcohol allowed at the track at any time!
2. No Swearing at Any Time! This is a family track and kids are around!
3. No Illegal Substances (pot, cocaine, etc.) at the track at ANY time!
4. Drivers are to sign in before sign-ups close.
5. No talking to the computer operator during a race.
6. If you have a disagreement about the laps or time counted, go to the Race Director, do not go to the computer operator. Race Director has final say.
7. Spectators are not allowed near the drivers stand.
8. No drivers on the drivers stand until it’s your turn to race.
9. No yelling at the corner Marshall’s.
10. You must corner marshal the race following your race.
11. If you cannot marshal, you are responsible to find a replacement marshal. If you, or a replacement, do not marshal the race following yours, you will be disqualified from your next heat/qualifier/main in that class.
12. Corner Marshal’s are to pay attention to what is going on in their area, not watch the leader.
13. A Corner Marshal is not allowed to have phones out or any type of listening device in/over their ears while marshalling.
14. No gabbing while out corner marshaling
15. No SMOKING is allowed on the event premises unless property owned has designated and marked, a smoking area. Anyone caught smoking on the premises will be given one warning. If that person is caught again, they, or the driver they are associated with, will be disqualified for that event.
16. Only closed toe shoes will be allowed on the track.
17. Novice racers will be moved up to the next level when they have completed a set percentage of laps for the next class up, or at Race Director’s discretion.
18. A minimum of 3 vehicles will be required to run a class. The one exception is the Novice class which requires only 2.
19. If there are not enough vehicles to make a class, the Race Director can merge the vehicles into another class if he deems it appropriate.
20. If club specific rules do not cover a particular subject, the ROAR rules will govern the topic.
21. RC airplanes and helicopters will not be allowed to fly at any event.
22. No running of vehicles in pit area, only in designated test/tune area.

Indoor On Road Carpet Racing Rules
1. All General Rules apply.
2. No tire truing is allowed inside building.
3. No part of the car may damage the racing surface.
4. Simple Green, Sweep X2 Carpet compound, and Sticky Fingers are the only traction compounds allowed. All other traction compounds are banned.

The national level 4WD SCT class is 2S battery. We were allowing 3S batteries locally, but nearly everybody used 2S anyway.

It has been suggested we officially make the races electric only, which is something I agree with.
Here are a few reasons why.
It is rare that someone shows up and is able to make his nitro work well enough to race. Nearly 100% of us run electric already. The volume from the nitros makes it impossible to hear the PA system and warming up engines right next to the computer is especially bad. The track does not have a pit lane. It requires a pit man which is one less potential turn marshal. In short, we are simply not equipped for nitro and it can ruin the mood of the races.
So, will the world implode if we make the races electric only?
MARSHALL!!! Catch the smoke, QUICK!!!

I am perfectly OK with electric only and think it is a good idea.

I added a fee structure to the rules. It is at the very bottom of the off road section.
